Looks like you did a nice job on the hood wrap but IMO the CF wrap is best for small trim pieces, large areas such as body panels are best done w/ either paint or solid colors. But hey, if it gets your approval that's what counts

Thx man!

I agree about the cf vinyl on the big panel. This actually ended up being a very short-lived mod/experiment, stay tuned. The major benefits to this exercise were

1) my comfort working with vinyl increased exponentially. I think I'm gonna try to completely wrap my gf's old faded altima to get some more practice in, then who knows
2) the cf look kinda grew on me

Wow, I was really expecting more hate for the CF hood wrap!! Either you guys are getting soft, or the trolls are sleeping!

TOO LATE. Vinyl wrapped hood is gone.

Next up, Seibon CF hood + TS side skirts.

Hood comments:
Fitment is 6/10 at best (you might notice the gap in some of my pics) but I'm riding it out.

Other than the fitment, I'm pretty pleased with the hood. I've always thought of the front of these cars as a bit stark/pedestrian in comparison to the sexy body lines and a$$, and I think my sentiment shows in my frontend mods through the thread lol. I think the frontend is finally there.

I don't have a good pic yet, but it looks so intimidatingly aggressive in darker parking garages haha.
Example:

Skirts comments:
Very subtle mod. Hard to capture in photos, especially on a black car. Fitment 9/10

Ahh, like that hood look much better, nice work. G/L w/ the Altima wrap, should be a good test of your skills, and a good primer if y9ou decide to do more on your G w/ vinyl. It's pretty easy stuff to work with, I've thought about wrapping mine down the road so we'll see.
Keep up the nice work!

Looks like you need to tinker with some small spacers and alignment to get your fitment game on point. Other than that it looks really good.

Oh and as for the Supertones, Hella has a new product called the "Sharp Tones" they are supposed to be deeper in tone than the supertones. Maybe give those a shot.

thx meme - my rear fitment is exactly where i want it. i should really grab some spacers to tidy up the front, but I'm secretly hoping to score another pair of the wider/more concave rear wheels and try running them on the front in a square setup.

I was prepared for a 2-tone look, but I didnt factor in that shift **** looking so out of place!!!!

Turns out, the shift **** was pretty scuffed up (too much DS i guess), so I did some work on that, too.

Found some of this stuff in my office bathroom, left over from a gun holster dye job:

Did the **** and the boot:

The differences in the black between the wrap and the dye are no longer evident after drying.

No pics of the boot at the moment, gimme a few...

Back with some better pics. Actually got in my own back seat to get a better angle. How humiliating.

I'm eyeing the steering wheel since I've still got more dye & wrap left over... but from what i'm reading online, thats a whole project in itself :/

In other news, I've been doing spirited mountain runs lately... managed to get a couple nice "as she sits now" shots:

Nice updates, it's those small touches that really make a difference when it all comes together.
Nice photos in the hills too (jealous).
