Eye Pea El Build Thread

Heeeeyyyyy yooouuu guuuuuyyyyyss!!

Ive been lingering around here for a while since i purchased my car last year. A lot of awesome builds and unique styles which i do like a lot. This section is filled with inspiration so shout out to all the other members building dope/sleek/one-of-a-kind rides.

Here is my Build thread, my name is Derick BTW and i am in the Air Force. I've owned nothing but turbo cars from my Mazdaspeed6, 96 STI (japan), 92 GTR skyline (japan), EvoX, and BMW 135i. This is my first N/A "performance" car and I love it. I also do car detailing on the side so I was obsessed with this car's lines and stance. I have big plans for this car but here is what i have so far.

Here she is fresh from the dealer in NJ, now home in MD. Stock 2011 G37 IPL

I linked up with Danny from Incurve and picked up these lovely "Red Bottoms" Dual concave 20x10.5 +25 even sat well at stock height. But wheel gab drives me insane.

Next up (6 months later) i got the MXP exhaust and linked up with Custom Functionz here in maryland for some good old Air Suspension by Airlift Performance. Also added some custom painted drilled/slotted rotors and calipers and polished/painted the exhaust tips to match the wheels. Check it!

Hey Derick,
Great job! Nice score on those Incurves from Danny, always thought those were a great looking wheel in red, and they found another great home on another black coupe

Everything you've done thus far is spot-on, nice choice in parts and the way it all comes together is top shelf.
Look forward to more updates and pics, already a show stopper.
Brad
BTW, thanks for your service!

Matching the exhaust tips to the red rims is an unusual thing, but then red rims are an unusual thing. You have a pretty bold sense of style, Derick. Certainly not subtle, but not cheap either. Not at all. I like it.

Particularly got a kick out of your hydro-dipped air tank. While other cars are showing off their engine bay, you're popping your trunk. That's pretty cool.

Subbed for more.

lol thanks man, i definitely did roll the dice with the exhaust but it is, like you said, a bold "pop" of style. I think the next makeover I will tone it down a little. I was really set on doing something different. I am glad you like it and i hope to do more bold upgrades with this car, sky's the limit with this platform really.... reminds me of when i had my Evo X.

Nice work on the G.

The wheels and tips look good, especially when aired out.

Wondering where you'd been Derick, G/L w/ your interior, I'm sure you'll hit it out of the park like you've done w/ the rest of your G.
BTW, nice plate, what's the NT stand for?
