What's that look like up close and underneath, and into the exhaust tip cut-outs? And what's the fitment like against the crease in the bumper? I wonder how it would look if the bumper were touched up in black to follow the top line, instead of under the curve? Do you follow what I'm asking?
Would you mind?
I really got to remember to look at this in detail at the next meet-up. Pretty fair chance at least one sedan will show up with this mod.

i was actually pleased with the fitment, read in the past that there was some issues with that. it does kinda hangout in the middle of the crease there not a definitive line in the bumper to make a transition. if i ever remove it for any reason i may try and sand the edge down a little so it wont have an edge to it and would have a smoother transition. i'm not sure about going beyond it with black. you already have that vinyl on there so it wouldn't be much to put it up against and see..
with the tips i'm lucky the motordynes can be unscrewed and adjusted.. i did definitely have to pull them out to my liking the diffuser definitely sticks out some.

Sounds like you know what I'm asking. My thinking here is that my matte black vinyl is 5 years old, and I was never happy with the cut on the wrap-around. This year or next, I want to do something. Have it re-done new and improved, or paint it, or get a diffuser? And if I get a diffuser, do I paint it, and how do I mitigate the new line it creates?
Did you consider painting it matte or satin, instead of gloss? Or did it come gloss black? OB would be nice, with a hint of metallic flake.
And why you no lower the Fuji? Argh!

so i finally got off my lazy butt and did some work towards getting the air thats been collecting dust going again.
ran power, control and pressure gauge wires. while i was hammering the openings for the wires to flare the edges i realized that the back panel is one big resonating panel. Dusted off some matting and went on in.
was curious about space and took the dash apart.

That's quite the coincidence, seeing that naked back seat. I'm about to take down that area, too, and just printed out a few pages from the FSM on the topic. So... any tips? Did you remove the rear shelf as well?
Did you notice any spund differences afterwards? I think conventional wisdom says that noise through the frame comes from below, although resonance can occur anywhere, really.

it wasnt hard at all, didnt even use the FSM just started scrapping.
1:remove bottom seat
2:then the two sides
3:top part of arm rest
4:bottom of arm rest
i didnt remove the self only because the seat belts ran trough it and had too much going on the eff with it. if i was just in there for dampening i probably would.
there was a big difference in sound even in my garage i literary did a double take. the full motordyne is aggressive and loud especially at start up.
trying to talk myself in to scrapping the trunk carpet and tackling it from there. the bottom had factor matting so i just did mostly the bare areas.
i got the matting from the hot rod shop that restoring the Z, its really light and works great. 10 roiling yards was about 8lbs.

Here's another question... you've removed your center console and shifter components before, right? There is a *HUGE* amount of noise coming up through that shifter area, muffled only by a rubber boot on the underside.. Have you considered using Dynamat in that area?
