I've got a few brake pad questions for you!

I have a track day coming up, the first of many, I hope. I understand that it's not always possible to have your cake and eat it too regarding brake pads. Currently I have Stoptech street performance pads, do you think that will work for a mild track weekend with plenty of time out of the car between runs?

What kind of pads do you recommend for a novice autocrosser/tracker?

I've heard hawk Hp plus are unbearably noisy off the track.

I've had a couple customer use the StopTech pads on track, I recommend against it, that's not what they were made/designed for. They are a street pad and that is where they should stay, if you're autox'ing you can certainly use them there though.

HP+ is exactly what I would recommend for someone going to the track for the first time, it has great bite and it's certainly great to us on street tires.

They are pretty noisy off track, I have quite a few new track go'er thats use the HP+ on track and then take them off after wards and put the StopTech pads on, or Hawk HPS pads on for street.

That is always my #1 recommendation, have a street set, and a track set.
