Coilover install extras?
Coilover install extras?
Pulled the trigger on HKS Hipermax GT IV's today and am wondering what else is needed to do the install properly. Do I need to purchase upper shock mount gaskets (they run around $50 a pop which sounds absurd). I already have camber and traction arms on order from Z1. Gonna hold off on FUCA's for now. I want a mild drop and I'm hoping that mild drop allows me to stay within limits with OE from FUCA's.
I guess my main question is those gaskets.

I reused mine. Just be careful when taking out the front suspension. It can be a bit finicky coming out and if the gasket sticks to the fender and you pull the shock, the top bolts can rip that gasket.
The front is a bit more forgiving. If you keep the drop mild, as you mentioned, you should see your front camber around -2.5 to -3 (guess based off where I was at after Fortune Auto install) but you'll be able to dial the toe to within spec. The rear set-up, at least for the X, has basically no adjustable toe and no camber adjustment. So, if you grabbed the camber kit for the rear you should be good. It requires drilling out the toe bolt about 1/16 on each side of the sub frame hole.
