Looking for a solid all-season tire. PNW Rain
Hey guys, It's time to replace my tires but I am out of the loop on what's what with tires. Ideally I'd have something great for rain as I live in the PNW and its always wet here. I'd also be interested in suggestions for something a little wider/meaty because I do like to get spirited sometimes. I have oem coupe wheels (225/50) 18".

Continental DSW 06 is an option to consider. My brother just put them on his 3.0t Q50 and loves them. Great if you see snow. The Michelin AS 3+ mentioned are a great option. I had Toyo Proxes on my Mazda back in the day. Performed fine (for a 100hp Mazda that is) but they did wear by 20k miles.

Checking out the Continental DSW 06 and the Michelin Sport A/S 3 Plus.
And the Hankook Kinergy 4S2 PT H737, which kind of looks like a successor to my current OEM Hankook Ventra S1 Noble 2.
DSW 06 and PT H737 are $600, A/S 3 Plus is $732.
The H737 has a 90,000 warranty, DSW 06 and A/S Plus is 45,000-50,000.
I 100% agree with you,
Guess I was trying to see if any good enough reason for spending the extra for the Michelin Sports($730).
Which I guess would work out to about $4 per month, for the life of the 4 tires on my car.
Also I might be able to get a really good deal ($540, with $60 mail in) for four OEM Hankook Ventra S1 Noble 2, which is what my car came from the factory with.
So far the Continentals and Michelins show the best at dry braking, which is a nice plus.

I mean, Michelins are a great tire at the end of the day. Up to you to decide if they are that much better and worth the extra $. I've read of guys liking the Hankooks but I can't speak from personal experience.
FWIW, I'm over on the Mustang6G forum and, from what I've read, the Michelin AS 3+ are the go to for them as an all season option. I figure if they are good enough for a 400+hp car then they would be great for a G.

I did it, I did it. I acted like a big boy and made a choice, just setup an appointment to have four Michelin Sport A/S 3 Plus installed on my G37.
I guess it was the $90 instant rebate that was just offered today that helped seal the deal.
And the good reviews on the Michelins when it comes to braking
