Wheel and tire sizing

Hi everybody, I am new to the forum here so hopefully I am doing everything correctly! I am a new G37 owner after my previous vehicle got totaled. It is a 2013 moonlight white g37 Journey sedan and I have always loved the storm trooper look on vehicles (white body with black accents).

I am looking into getting new wheels and tires and I want to go black wheels of course. My g is running 225/55 R17’s currently and I do not like the 55% sidewall, nor the 17” wheels. I am trying to come up with the best wheel and tire fitment that will make my g look as good as possible. I personally am not a fan of the lowered cars so I will be keeping mine at stock height.

I am looking at the Michelin Pilot Super Sports but I am just concerned about not having the right look. Im not sure if 18” or 19” wheels would be better...

Any recommendations/suggestions to help me out so I can get the best look? Also if anybody has any pictures for reference that would be awesome as well.

I tried to attach two pictures that kinda shows the look i am going for but not having any luck so here are the links

Welcome to the site congrats on the new ride! Pics aren't showing up for me though.

At stock height I'd run 18s a square setup of 18x8.5 +35 or 18x9 +40 would be a nice fit running 245/45/18 on the 8.5s or 255/45 on the 9s.

pm sent!

Could you safely run 245/45R18's on an 8'' wheel on a stock G37x? From what I've researched, it looks like that it's the minimum required rim width to run 245's.

I already have a set of 18'' x 8'' +35 Fast wheels and I'm debating between stock 225/50R18 or going a little wider to the 245/45R18.

Looking to wrap them with either the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ or the Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS.

Thanks!

You can, just be aware that sidewall stability would be less than it would be on a wider wheel, not a problem unless you are really pushing the G to it's limits when cornering.
