Life expectancy of SPC parts?

I know the answer depends on the application and road conditions within your area...

But, if you were to put a mileage where these parts would start to give out at? Or would you expect them to last longer than the car?

I'm just wondering because I just recently got an alignment, and about a week later the front passenger side starts making deep clunking noises at low speeds on full wheel turns. The camber went from -0.5 to about -1.8 as well.

I'm trying to figure out if something is loose, or is the arm giving out?

Thanks~

I would say something is definitely loose or wasn't tightened properly. I got my alignment on my SPC arms a year ago front was set at -0.4, and recently went back for my yearly alignment again to the same place. It had only moved to -0.5 which is really nothing for a whole year. Also most people hear clunks with these arms on big bumps i.e. the top nut hits the fender, the fact you're hearing it during a different situation means something must be up?

I've had my SPC parts for about 70k miles and about 7 years, and the alignment specs are still pretty much locked where they were when I first installed them.

Such a dramatic change in a week and a half, something must not have been securely fastened, improperly installed, or you jarred your suspension somehow.

The ball joints and bushings will wear over time but those can be replaced and greased.

Good info. The arms have about 120k on them. I wasn't too sure if the ball joints could be replaced. I'll just suspect shop error, and maybe buy a new ball in the mean time.

thanks

It does sound like a shop error, but as an FYI you can replace the ball joints if you want https://www.z1motorsports.com/suspen...37-p-8850.html
