Is there a difference in the brake system between a 2008 G37S and a 2013 G37S? The cars have the same Hawk pads and rotors, but on the 2013 the pedal needs less travel as compared to the 2008.

 

It's possible that the master cylinder is different, I know the newer sport models have a different MC vs. the non-sport MCs. Since 2008 was the first year for any Akebono equipped G they may have used the same non-sport MC then, but this is just speculation.

 

There was a discussion nearly two years ago that documented three part numbers. I don't recall if they referred to Journeys only or S only or what.
