Question 255's ona 8.5 inch rim ok?

Need to replace my alomost 11yr old front tires. These are on OEM Coupe Sport 19's. I upgraded the rear to 275/35. and used the OEM Rear tires and put it on the front 245/40's. Now I want to try get a smaller sidewall...thinking of going to a 255/35 on the front 19x8.5 rim. would that be fine? don't like the fat look on the front...plus it smashes my liner when I air out my car...I'm Bagged. LMK if you think the 255/35 on a 8.5 inch rim be ok?

Yes, the 255s will work on the 8.5, it's the narrowest recommended wheel width for that tire size.
