Anyway, thanks to an older post from Blnewt, I have an idea as to what parts I'll be getting to replace my rotors and pads.

As for suspension parts, and since I'm on a budget, I am trying to decide between Tokico shocks and KYB while still keeping the eibachs (which are now installed)

Any difference between the 2? Will either modify the eibach drop (raise/lower the front/rear) from where it was going to be with my original suspension?

 

Might consider running Tein Basis Z coilovers, probably cost the same as replacing the shocks and you can get just the height you want.

I believe the older Tokico "blues" were an upgrade from OEM, the KYBs should be similar to OEM.

 

I have been thinking of getting the tein, I guess it is the best thing for the money. I bought a pair of rotors for 129 shipped to me, but mine is an S. Got the pads for 65. I still haven't gotten them installed. Looking at perhaps getting Michelin AS3+ from Costco, should be around 670 after rebates.

This car today started going into my lane then when back into theirs and rear ended a truck. Glad it wasn't me.

 

Why all-season tires if you live in the Kalifornia?

 

They should last longer and they have almost the grip of the PSS except with colder rubber compound and different tread. I have had a pair of the AS3, the grip is very impressive and the AS3+ should be better.

 

Have you tried PSS3? Or Potenza S-04? If you haven't, your grip claim is baseless. You will definitely get longer life, though, out of the A/S tires.

Tire Rack has shown that HiPo street tires are better in the rain than all-season. Sub-45º F calls for A/S, though. I see that you are south of L.A., so that shouldn't play into your decision.

 

I have owned PSS, I think I have mentioned it here before. Got a smoking deal on a set of slightly used ones. They are fantastic tires. I have also had the AS3 and thought that the grip levels were very high. There are a few AS tires that are very close to Summer tires. The two I have had are P Zero Nero and Michelin AS3. I had some General Exclaims on a bmw that I owned, I was surprised when I found out they were considered all season. They certainly didn't look it. If I needed an all season tire for snow, I would probably get the Conti DW06 or the Nero AS, they looked like they might be able to handle snow.
