That screw on the rotor

So I just bought some wheel spacers... then I take the wheel off and there's this drew, screwed into the rotor, so I can't place the wheel spacers on the rotor. Does anyone know if it's safe to remove it? Here's a pic of it

It's safe to remove. It's only function is to prevent the rear wheels being put in the front. Or vice versa, I forget which. It it can fe safely removed.

I'd keep it around though, it's useful for popping the rotor off if you ever need to change it or anything behind it. Just screw it in without the spacer and the caliper on and it comes right off even if it's corroded.
