Winter wheel and tire setup - Need Help !

Hi

I have an '08 G37 Sport coupe (OEM 19s + akebono brakes etc..) and am looking to pick up a set of winter tires with wheels for this season.

An option i have available to buy right away is :

Blizzak WS80s 225/50R18 tires all around
Mounted on wheels with below specs:
Size:18x8
Offset:35mm
Backspacing:5.91"
Bolt Pattern:5-114
Firstly, I believe the tires will fit the wheels, but my worry is will the wheels fit my car as-is ??

Secondly, is this setup safe on the '08 G37s coupe RWD ?

thanks in advance for the advice !

I cannot say for sure in regards to how the wheels will fit, however they might poke more than your stock wheels with the 35 offset.

My question to you is, where are you looking at the wheel/tire combo? If its a major website such as tire rack, the wheels will have no issue with fitment and you're good to go ahead and purchase. If you're looking at wheels from a manufacturer's site and guessing, you might want to double check with the manufacturer to make sure the wheel will clear the brakes.

What Justin said^^^Do you have a pic or link for those specific wheels? Most cheaper 18s won't clear those big Akebono calipers, some 18" Z wheels will work along w/ the 18" OEM sport Sedan wheels. And like Justin said, if you go to tirerack.com and list your G as a Sedan w/ Sport package you'll get a listing of 18" wheels that will clear your big brakes. If you list it as a coupe w/ sport package you'll only get 19s to pop up. FWIW 225/50/18s should be an excellent winter tire size for those 8" wheels as far as cutting through snow

There's a bit more than the numbers you mentioned above to determine if a wheel will fit properly. I'd assume the vendor who's offering them would be able to say if they work or not.

You can see the complete list of wheels we have available for your vehicle at: Wheels by Brand Simply enter the specifics on your vehicle’s make, model and year, and my site will display every option we have available that fits your vehicle properly.
