I'm going to be getting the avant m368 19x9.5 I want to do square set up rather than having a 8.5 like they suggest I also want to run +20 offset all around .
Now my current set up is stock 19x9 +45 with 25mm spacers and front 19x8.5 +43 with 20mm spacers ..
So if I did my homework right it should be exact to what I have now but front wheels will be a little more flush ? I'm running 225/40/19 front and rear is 255/40?or45/19(I forget car is in the shop rn) this set up for my drop on s tech is perfect I can't even tire shine my wheel properly lol but it's covering perfecting with no rubbing.
Another problem people might get upset about is 225 on a 9.5 stretch I just bought the tires and I'm gonna just deal with it until I can get new ones after the New Years but it should be fine right ?
Right now you are effectively running the equivalent of 19x9.5 +35 front and +26 rear so going with +20 up front will poke ~15mm more than current...in which you will likely rub
Right now you have a front 8.5 +23 and rear 9 +20 (after spacers) so going to a 9.5 +20 will result in 15mm further out in front and 5mm out in back. Fit should be ok, your wheels will poke outside the fender edges a bit but tire will tuck when you end up running 245/40s or 255/40s all around. And yeah there's guys running 225s on a 9.5 but I'd definitely just keep that short term. If they are brand new tires I think I'd try to sell them or return them and just get the 245/255s now. If they're used or already mounted then you'd take a bigger hit.
Did you both give me the same answer ? Idts But please explain , if my stock is +45 and adding 25mm spacers to give me the look I desire doesn't that equal +20 or did I miss something 45 - 25=20 ? And for front 43-25 is 18 ? Or do offsets go off something different ?
I do understand I'm running 20mm spacers in front not 25 but if it was up me to buy spacers I'd be running 25mm to make the front a little more flush ...
and yea I'm not a huge stretched tire fan but I guess I will be for a little I got like 2k miles on them already back in march I bought them

Assuming you have 20mm spacers in the front, your effective offset is +23 (43-20=23)

Basically a 19x9.5 +20 will fit the same as if you added a 15mm spacer on top of your 20mm spacer in the front (35mm total).

Are you satisfied with how flush your wheels are now? If you want to keep the same overall look in terms of how flush the wheels are with the fender, then go with the 9.5 +35 since that will be almost exactly the same.
I am 100% satisfied with the rear ...the front I feel i could go another 5mm on the spacers but I wouldn't be mad I didn't achieve it . Also the site insist on 8.5 in the front but I don't want to go that route either .. they suggest +35 in front and +40 in rear
I'm starting to stress about this lol because I still don't understand how a 19x8.5 +43 adding a 20mm spacers will become a +35 and be exactly the same thing ... won't I have (+8) still needed to reach my goal (43-20=23 not 35 ? )
Because a 8.5 +23 does not fit the same as a 9.5 +23
As I said in my first post, if you wanted the stance to sit the exact same as it is now WITH a 9.5 width, you would need that new offset to be ~+35
Okay perhaps that's were I was mixed up so I'm going to go +35 in front I was thinking 8.5 and 9.5 offsets or any width of offset was the same .. so for the rear you said +26 but they only have +20 and +40 offsets so I gotta do a 40 and get spacers ig .. such a turn off for the wheel
You made me depressed lol . I like the forgestars also a couple more hundred and I can custom fit the offsets which I do like . The weds are out of budget rn and I've had a few enkei in the past I just wanted something a little different .
So don't get the wheel, it's poor quality anyway
Look at enkei or weds for some better options
This is the first I've ever heard of someone calling Avant Garde poor quality when they're one of the leaders in the industry, on par with Rotiform. In fact, I've seen more cracked Enkeis and Weds than I have AGs in my lifetime.
There's a lot of misconception when it comes to cast monoblock wheels, and the truth behind the industry would surprise you.
As for the OP, no, an 8.5" with the same offset will not fit the same as a 9.5" with the same offset. Offset is a measurement relative to the direct mid point of the wheel's width. There fore, 20mm away from dead center on an 8" wheel will leave less distance to the lip, than 20mm away from dead center on a 9" wheel by half an inch. Since the 9" wheel is 1/2" wider on either side of dead center than the 8" wheel [4.5" vs. 4"].
Thanks for clarifying that That calculator didn't help much or I must of been reading it wrong . Another thing I didn't take into account is that I have to clear the akebono brakes as well from what i was just told +35 won't clear them so I'd need to go +25 on the front ?
