GodSpeed Sway Bars

I'm a cheapskate and decided to give the the Godspeed sway bars a try.

2012 G37 sedan (non-S) daily driver, no other mods. Ebay seller, $118 shipped.

Bars arrived with a couple of scratches and chipped paint. I had read this from other reviewers, same for me. The bars are significantly heavier than stock. I can give OD mm comparisons if anyone requests.

Install was pretty straight forward. Everything fit. Came with brackets and bushings (rubber). I was able to get the rear bar out without loosening the exhaust etc. All I did was remove the brackets and end nuts on the bars, and was able to snake the thing out by bringing it towards the rear of the car and getting a little creative with the jigsaw puzzle. Was able to get the new one in the same way, albeit with a little more struggle.

I've owned the car for about 3 months completely stock. I just installed the bars yesterday and have only been able to drive them a little bit so far, less than 30 miles.

Initial impression are that I'm very pleased. Turn in seems much more responsive. Overall body roll is reduced. Transitions through switchbacks are much tighter.

I have no other experience with any other sway bars for comparison.

For the money - couldn't be happier. Hope this is helpful to someone.

Glad to hear that your initial impressions are positive. Any issues installing the front bar?
Post an addition to one or both of these threads if you want and update as time goes on if anything changes for the better or worse.

No issues with front fitment. The right rear bracket was a little snug, but seemed to tighten up just fine. Thanks for pointing out those other threads. I'll add to them when the bars have more miles.

I, too, ask for bar dimensions. I've got a bit of a database going. Can you tell if there is a seam on the bar ends that indicates a crushed tube instead of solid steel? And, were the bars the same shape as stock?

I'll follow up this evening with measurements and check the bar ends. The shapes were the same, based on a casual comparison.

Edit: 30.5mm OD on the front, 25.5mm on the rear. I couldn't get a good look at the bar ends - I'll roll it back up on the ramps and confirm in the next couple days.

Interesting! I have these saved to my wish list and was hoping someone would be guinea pig.. I'm completely oblivious to sway bars, is it normal to be heavier if they are more stiff or is that a "cheap" factor? Here's a link to them if it helps answer any questions..

For a solid bar, yes. For a hollow bar, it depends.

I believe my ipl rear is over 26mm so no benefit there.
