Fuzion Tires Experience

2013 G37 Sedan - Bought the car in Feb 2016 and they had brand new "Fuzion" branded tires on the car. I thought since the tires were new I wouldnt have to worry about tires for awhile. Well I havent been able to correct a vibration issue with the car, above 60mph im getting a lot of vibration in the steering wheel.

I finally brought the car to Discount tire who balanced the tires and they said they were off, but not too much with one rear tire being the worse. Vibration was reduced, a lot, but I still felt vibration at around 70mph. Brought it to Infiniti to question if maybe this was something else and they rebalanced the tires saying discount tire didnt balance them right. Well Infiniti made it completely worse with very heavy vibration at 70mph. I am convinced at this point its the tires.

Has anyone experienced Fuzion tires or this same issue where crap tires cause this much headache?

Never had Fuzion tires. But sometimes you may have one or more tires that may just be unbalanceable. It happens occasionally. It tends to happen less with higher end premium tires, but you could have a Michelin Pilot Super Sport that just wont balance. Though it seem to happen more often with budget tires that don't have the quality control of more expensive tire brands.

That's something roadforce balancing supposedly fixes. Not all tire shops have those machines, so call ahead to make sure if you're going that route.

Does the car have stock Infiniti wheels? If they are an aftermarket brand you will probably need hub adapter rings, this will get the wheels to fit tight against the Infiniti hub flange which will tightly center then wheel on the hub.
If they are OEM Infiniti wheels you also need make sure the back of the wheel mounting area and the top of the rotor mount surface are brushed clean. Rust buildup in this area can create high speed vibration.

x2 on the roadforce balancer, many big car dealerships now have them, so best to call ahead to confirm.

Stock wheels. I just changed the rotors out. I sprayed brake cleaner where the rotor contacts the hubs as I noticed some rust. I didnt see any build up. I found the tires on tirerack.com for $77ea. They arent popular and are a bit hard to find. I didnt notice anyone mention vibration in reviews.

The tend to be a great bang for the buck option, probably our most popular of the lower priced tires. Haven't had a pattern of them being out of round or hard to balance.

So i switched them out with Michelin Premier a/s and the vibration seems to be gone now at 70-80. I havent been able to cruise the hwy for long distance yet. But now i feel like its messing with my head if I notice a vibration or not, if its normal, the road or what.
