Lowering Advice
Lowering Advice
I have a 2008 G37S coupe (stock)
I want to lower my car but just unsure what all is involved and what kits are the best. I've done some research on here but I would like some advice from people who have lowered there car. These are a couple questions I have:
What all do I need to buy to lower my car without issues?
What's the best kit?
What size spacers will I need for my wheels?
Any other advice will be greatly appreciated!

Not to be rude, but this is all been pretty well covered (dare I say beat to death?) in the myriad of threads already posted here, so when you say you did "some" research, it just doesn't really make a lot of sense (unless "some" = practically none).
It really comes down to budget, if you have plenty of cash set aside for this project then go w/ KW (either V1 or V3) and SPL camber kits, if on more of a budget than the Kw V1s and an SPC camber kit, if that's still a bit much then Tein Basis coilovers & an SPC kit. The top end of the sets & camber kits & alignment will run about $3000 + install labor, the bottom end would run about $1200 total, so if you can do the install that's what you're looking at, if you take it to a shop probably about another $300 give or take.
Not 100% sure on pricing but the Kwv3 are in the $2k range, V1s around $1500, Tein Basis about $620, F&R SPC camber kits are about $500, and the SPLs are probably about twice as much as the SPC but can't recall for sure.

Or you can do a basic drop like I did on my car for a grand total of $50 plus my free machining, material, tools, and labor. All in tolerance of stock alignment specs. Check out the sticky thread in suspension.
