Anyone?

My wheels came in a few days ago and today was the first chance I got to have them put on. I took them to a local tire shop, and had them try to put them on. They ended up not clearing the calipers. I dont have the big brakes, just a 2008 coupe base model. Anyone have an idea how to make them fit. The wheels are 18x9 +30 / 5x114.3 / 73.1 and if its helps this is the actual wheel itself. Spacers, if so whats sizes?

Measure how much space there is between the wheel mounting surface and the rotor when it contacts the brake calipers. You need a spacer at least the thick, then add a few mm for clearance.

What about brands? Anything to stay away from? I was hoping for my wheels to be one of the last things I was going to do for a while, but I guess thats impossible with an infiniti right after you start right?

That's a bummer Brandon. Spacers from H&R, Ichiba, and B2 Autodesigns are decent. If you need more than 5mm you'll need extended studs or the bolt-on type spacers. Those rims must not have much backspacing at all

Double check that they sent the correct backspacing. It should be stamped on the back of the spokes. Make sure it says +30, or ET30 or something like that. Otherwise, as others have said, just measure your clearance to your caliper.

To be precise, you're stating offset. Back spacing would be on the order of 4 or 5 inches.

Just a quick update, I bought some 1/4 inch spacers to test the clearance today and they ended up working, only problem is that now the lugs aren't long enough to screw in. 1/4 inch = 6.25 millimeters, any ideas on the easiest route to go? Buy extended lugs? Or bolt on spacers? Also any risks when running small spacers in the front and none in the back?

I believe 10mm is the smallest bolt on spacer, damn Brandon, those wheels sure are turning into a chore
So you can't get any turns on the lug nuts? If you can turn the nuts enough to get the same length down the lug as it is wide you'll be OK, something like 6 full turns IIRC. Otherwise it's time for extended studs.
