Replica's?
Im looking for a set of rims, and have plenty in my price range, the problem is it that their all replicas. Obviously you get what you pay for, but are they really made of that bad of quality? Im lowered on tein h-techs and Im not going to be tracking them or anything, mainly just for your basic daily driving. I can't afford to drop 2000 dollars on a set of rims, I work part time, go to college, and pay the 400$ car payment every month haha. The BBS LM reps look pretty nice, I wonder if i found a way to get rid of the bbs center cap, if it'd still be frowned upon as much, lol. Also are companies like Nich'e and Varrstoen some what respectable companies? Thanks

If there's a Niche design you like I'd go that route.
I agree with Brad here. In fact he showed me some Niche wheels a little while back that I'm still thinking about buying. There were two or three that would look really great on our cars. $550-1250 per wheel on some higher end brands man that's steep. All depends on what you want tho. I bet if you saved you could get some Vossens or alpha forged etc....but the niche wheels are tight and in your price range.
Replicas do not go through the strict engineering, manufacturing or testing as the real versions, this is what saves you money. A replica wheel might look identical to it's counterpart but you are the one risking your time, money, car and life. Some people ride around on replicas and have no problems yet others have cracked wheels within the first 5 minutes. YMMV
I understand being on a budget but I believe you can keep saving or buy a set of quality, lightly used ones in the classifieds.
Here is a decent demonstration that's been posted before

I see threads posted from time to time that start off with "I don't have enough money for (mod x), should I just get (mod y - probably a counterfeit part or lesser quality alternative to mod x) instead until I can afford mod x? I only have (50% of the cost of mod x) to spend. What's your opinion?"
If you will be completely content with mod y then you should get in in the first place and save your money and be happy. Why do you need validation form strangers on the internet? If you know that mod y is not up to the standard of mod x but you simply cannot afford it, just save money until you can get mod x in the first place rather than just buying something of lesser quality or that you really won't be completely satisfied with. Settling for a knockoff or something you really want could cause problems with your car depending on what the part is (e.g. putting a replica "full stainless steel" $200 knockoff exhaust on your car that has welds that may crack or tubing that may rust) or at the very least make you appear to be an idiotic poser (e.g. if you do something like mistakenly represent your Rotas Grids as Volk TE37 to someone who knows the difference.
If you are asking, you probably already know the answer and just want validation to be cheap. Save your money and buy what you really want.
