Seeking advice on replacement tires on my 2012 Coupe

Hello all, new here and wanted to get some advice.

I have a 2012 G37 coupe Journey with original bridgestone potenza tires 245/40/19 at 20K miles. I live in Raleigh, NC (no snow) and drive my car mainly on highway.

looking for solid tires with lower road noise and good grip. would love some advice/suggestions. Thanks in advance.

-K

Yep, they rarely get any bad reviews. Another great summer tire a bit easier on the budget would be Toyo T1 Sports
TreadDepot.com: Toyo Proxes T1 Sport Tires
BTW, welcome to the site, glad you found us!

thanks for the warm welcome and the suggestions.
just wondering if anyone has all season? or should i stick with summer performance tires that perform well in wet? (again, i live in n.c., no snow, at times rain but that's it) primarily highway driving, no track stuff here.

gonna check out the michelins and the toyo....any others?
heard good things on continentals and hankook?
thanks to all for the advice

Go to the summer performance tire review section of tirerack. Michelin Pilot Super Sports tops out every single category. There are no all season tires that will perform as well. The PSS still gets high ratings for wet performance, just not for snow. If you get snow, get snow tires.

It's common for people to want an a tire that's good in every condition. All season tires are decent in most conditions, but will never be as good as dedicated summer tires. There is no one-size-fits-all.

Unequivocally the best. If you can afford it, and need the grip, then get PSS.

All season tires are design to work in all 4 conditions including snow. Since your car won't see snow stick with summer tires. Summer tires are design for wet and dry. The Michelin pilot super sports is a great choice, I just had them installed last week.

Are they good tires? yes...There are some cheaper alternatives though. Do you really push the car 24X7? If no then a decent set of all season performance tires will do you.
The car lacks TQ off the line. Your not going to need something really sticky for DD use. Do you want that performance bracket for the sake of saying you have it in case or do you want to bias to more of a DD tire with tread life?
I have Toyo's Plus series on my G & they are quiet & still ride good & have tread life.
Personally I had summers on every car I ever owned & got real tired of them lasting 15K miles to just drive in traffic or to walmart.

Thanks to all.
Based on what I'm hearing I'll go with a solid summer tire. And I'll consider the pilot sports, but as JT2014 mentions I use this as a DD so a DD with more tread life would be preferable since thats what I use the car for. If there are any alternative's that people like would love to hear them.
Have a great weekend all!
