Running different tire tread pattern front and rear - G37x Coupe
Hi,
I have a G37x coupe running staggered on Bridgestone Potenza re050a. My rears (275/35/19) are due for replacement while my fronts (245/40/19) still have a lot of meat on them so I'm looking to replace just the rears for now.
I don't want to spend $650 to get 2 new Potenza re050a's for my rear so I'm looking to get either the 275/35/19 Bridgestone Potenza RE760 or the Bridgestone Potenza S-04 for the rears.
Is it ok to run different tread patterns between fronts and rears on the g37x, at least until my fronts are due for replacement?
Thanks in advance.

I would think it would be OK as long as the new tires have a similar treadware rating (so the tires would have similar compounds). Best to go to the source.
