my experience with aftermarket lugs + stock wheels
BE AWARE!!!! I learned the hard way I wish I did my research on the topic but I never thought it would have been an issue.
Thankfully it happened as I was slowing down to come to a stop I noticed the car pulling extremely hard and heard a rubbing noise all of a sudden the front driver side of the car dropped I get out to check and first thought it was a control arm or suspension related but after seeing 4 out of the 5 lugs broke through the rim (see pics) and the fender literally sitting on top of the tire my heart sank...just had the wheels refinished due to lots of curb rash from the previous owner. If you look through the pics you will see in the picture of the back side of the rim that around the holes where the studs go through actually broke off and in the picture where you can see where the lugs meet the spacer there is a silver ring around the stud thats actually pieces of the rim
so for me my lesson has been learned thank god I wasnt on a highway when it happened things could have been MUCH worse and I would hate to see this happen to someone else

Sorry to hear and see that. It is indeed a sad sight.
Are your aftermarket lug nuts flat or tapered seats? I suspect you may have the wrong type of lug nuts for these wheels.

For those that are unaware (like OP), NEVER use aftermarket "tuner" lugs (conical, or tapered seat) on these OEM wheels. They are the wrong type of lug nuts for this type of wheel. Use OEM style flat (mag) lugs. They must be 12x1.25 thread pitch.
OP, thanks for sharing your misfortune so that perhaps others who don't know any better will actually understand how dangerous this is.

BTW, I saw that you posted looking or OEM wheel lugs. You need a new set of wheels to go with them. The holes on the wheels you have are likely all damaged like the one that came of and should be replaced. They can possibly be repaired, but don't use them as they are even with the right lugs. Too risky.

Scary stuff Big Nick, glad you & anyone else nearby wasn't seriously hurt. There's a very limited selection of aftermarket "mag-type" lug nuts for these cars, pretty much just better off staying w/ Infiniti factory lug nuts for OEM wheels and just paint them if you want a new color.

I dont know if possible but a suggestion you can look into, you might be able to have a wheel shop that re-drills wheels weld a stainless steel ring into the enlarged holes so that the wheel can be re used again. Its pretty much what they do when they re-drill wheels, widen the existing hole on one side and weld a stainless steel ring into the larger hole
