Usually the spacers come w/ the proper size longer studs, what size spacer did you use and how much longer are your new studs?

i got the H&R spacers 20mm in the back 15mm in the front and no they didnt come with it (i got it from forums) i got my own studs 50mm for the 20mm spacers and 45mm for the 15mm spacer. I dont think the length is the problem, the lugs just keep spinning when you try to tighten them but if you mess around with it a bit you can properly tighten it with a torque wrench.

there are several senarios which can result in a problem...

if oem studs are 30mm,
then you should be able to reach an acceptable torque spec

if the oem studs are <30mm...
- and you are running aftermarket rims AND aftermarket lug nuts, then you should be able to reach an acceptable torque spec
- and you are running aftermarket rims AND oem lug nuts, then
- and you are running oem rims AND aftermarket lug nuts (probably open ended), then you will have problems. this is a big no no... you have to use oem lugs with the oem rims. The acorn+washer design is the only type of lug nuts that should be used with oem rims.
- and you are running oem rims AND oem lug nuts, then you should not be able to reliably reach an acceptable torque spec

you can use similar logic for >30mm

i would hypothesize that you should not be able to reach an acceptable torque spec of at least 80ftlbs. there's simply not enough threads on the stud for the lugs to grab onto without deforming, by stretching, the stud... you're throwing on a 20mm spacer (front) but only increasing the stud by 8mm please re-inspect your setup and adjust accordingly.

it's worth mentioning that H&R's stud replacement type spacers come with studs that are exactly Xmm longer than oem studens where X is the size of the spacer. source: i've used both 10 and 15mm drs spacers with no problems.
and fyi throwing on a 5mm 'slip-on' type spacer over oem studs is barely acceptable
