So I'm planning on painting my Akebonos this week but I still haven't found the right color. I wanted something teal or turquoise that's metallic or has pearl in it. I really like the Duplicolor torque n teal but it's neither metallic or pearl. Anybody have any suggestions?

ETA: This is pretty close to what I want. This is the Alliance BBK if I remember correctly but I'd rather keep my Akebonos

It's black. I got BCs this week and I'm waiting for my car to get back from Sewell Infiniti from some warranty work so I can do it all at once.

 

Yup this is the exact color I want... Anybody know where I can get a rattle can of this that's also high temp?

 

Local paint shops now can mix, match, and load the color you want into a rattle can. Check there, your local flavor autoshop may have VHT in the color you're looking for, but if not, custom might be the way to go. Monytx and I did his calipers a few weekends ago, they were metallic copper and looked awesome on his black G

 

When I did mine, I used a flat color and my local auto parts store had a pearl effect spray paint. Boom...red pearl calipers.

 

It exceeded my expectations. As far as local paint shops, I went to about three and they all looked at me like I was foreign or something. They had no idea what I was talking about..
