Another Lug Nut Post :)

Hi All,

So i have literally been hitting my head against the wall looking into using aftermarket lugs for my G37S stock 19' rims. I know that the OEM lugs are 12x1.25 flat washer "shank" lug nut that have a very specific fit to our rims. But when you buy OEM Lock Nuts sold at the dealership they look identical to several other aftermarket products. So why does every post i read on the issue says not to use any aftermarker lugs?

You help and insight is much appriciated.

My oem locking lugnut looks just like the stock nonlocking lug nuts (except for where the key goes).

Your first 2 pictures (left to right) are not correct for the g37 OE wheels.

This is what they should look like

I think when people say don't buy aftermarket, they mean your typical tuner lugs for aftermarket wheels. I don't see an issue with buying any aftermarket lug so long as it's the right type (shank lug), I've just never seen many out there for sale.
