Tire Specialist needed - Looking to 'Bloat' the tires on stock 18" wheels

Considering the 'Bloat' look of the tires on my G37X Coupe with stock 18" wheels.
That is - the rims slightly recessed and the tires protruding away from the rim appx. an inch max.

The car has been 'modded' and the last to do are the wheels and tires.
The stock wheels have been powder coated in gun metal gray and they look good but get lost a little in the wheel wells with the stock 225/50's... the car is NOT lowered nor will it be.

Had the Eibachs in for about a week until my fillings fell out of my teeth.

Then - Got the bright idea to bloat the tires to give the look of a concave race wheel and at the same time fill the wheel well gap.

Has anybody done this ?

I know that I need steel belted radials to hold their tire width to about 10" on the 8" wheels without pinching - and I want to keep the tire diameter about 271/4 inches (a little over the stock 26.7")

And I would like to keep the ride quiet (minimal tire noise) and luxurious - but don't know how to sort through all of the tires options or even if this is a possibility.

Thanks,
NJ Bob G

Might want to PM Neal@Tirerack to see what the max limits are on your X rims. Not 100% sure what you're trying to accomplish. You explained it well but I'm just not picturing a concave look from a narrow rim on fat tires since the rim itself isn't a concave design. I could see your idea working better if the narrow rim was already a concave style. I think going wide enough to give you what you're wanting visually would result in a poorly fit tire that would have poor center tread wear and not give you a real stable ride.
Have you seen pics anywhere of other cars that may have a setup like this?
Curious to see the look you're after.
