Suspension/Alloy suggestions? (newbie questions)

Hi guys, I have a 2010 G37 coupe and I want to get some nice alloys for it.

It's my daily so I can't realistically run a broken stance JDM VIP style set-up, but I would like something that's comfortable and looks really nice but won't scrub with 4 adults in it.

I've always been into Impreza/EVO so I don't know anything about non-motorsport alloys/suspension, budget is USD2500 not inc tyres.

Cheers

Welcome to the forum. You're looking to buy a set of wheels for $2500 or less, correct? What model do you have and what are your OEM wheel/tire sizes? I'm presuming a sedan because 4 adults in a coupe would not be comfortable. What year? What trim level?

2) Coupe as I mentioned earlier, the people in the back can moan all they want about the headroom
3) 225/45WR19 front and 245/40WR19 rear
4) 2010 as I mentioned earlier
5) How do I check the trim level?

I missed some of the stuff in your original post. You can find a set of lowering springs and a set of cheap wheels for $2500. I don't know that you'll be able to carry 4 full sized adults in a car with lowering springs without bottoming out the suspension or scraping on everything. If lowered with that much weight in it, I don't think any lowered suspension will be comfortable at all. I can't really make any suggestions. Swift makes the best lowering springs for our car. There's tons of wheel options depending on what your taste is, take a look at the vendor wheels and tires forum.

By the tire sizes you posted, you have a Sport model. Springs will run about $350 That leaves you $2150 for wheels. Look through classifieds, there are many wheels at or near that price range that you may like if you consider used ones. You can buy new ones for that money as well, just not the higher end stuff. Post a WTB thread in the new vendor WTB forum that you're looking for springs and wheels for $2500 and see who gets back to you. I bet at least some of them can hook you up with something.

Also to add to the great replies thus far (and a welcome to the site), does your budget allow for labo to install suspension? If you don't plan on doing the install expect another $200-300 for install, possibly more, and also an alignment when your springs settle down for another $100-$125.
Have fun w/ your G!
