I have personally used the hawk hps pads and they are good. However I have hear really good things about stop tech pad. I will be trying those next in a couple of months.

There are no "best" brake pads. There are a number of different types geared toward different driving types and needs. It's not nearly that simple. It depends what you're using them for. And even then it's mostly just a matter of opinion which is better than another.

^ Listen to the man.

Best is relative, it really depends what you're using the pads for.

I second the Stop techs. Ive ran almost every diff kind of hawks and never really liked any of them for normal street driving with occasional heavy foot. However the stoptechs I have had for a few years now and they have been the best pads ive run across as far as initial bite, fade, and pedal feel. I'll be running them again, thats for sure.

all in all its a matter of opinion and what your looking for. I have used hawk ceramic pads before and I liked them, but now I run posiquiet which are way less on dust and still have more of a bite than stock. Great for normal everyday use with a little performance if needed..

Different pads will work for different applcations, for example. If you are using your car for a daily driver, and you are at times hard on the brakes, Stoptechs and HPS are the pads to go for. If you like low dust Hawk Ceramics are the way to go. It all depends on the person and what they like.
