Camber Kit alignment problem

I just got the SPC front and rear camber kit for my 2012 G37S Sedan, along with the rear camber bolts. The car is lowered on H&R lowering springs. I got the camber kit installed and then when i took it for an alignment, we ran into a big problem. The front camber kit helped us align perfectly, but for some reason the rears did not work out so well. When the guy would adjust the camber, the toe would go out of whack. The guy literally tried for about 3 hours with no success. He got the toe within the parameters, but he couldnt fix the camber without messing up the toe. As of right now, the car is sitting with perfect toe, but the camber is -2.4 on the driver side rear, and -1.9 on the passenger side rear. Any idea on what is going on here? I really need some help, this is driving me crazy. Or perhaps maybe somebody might know of a great alignment place in the Glendale/Burbank area that has a lot of camber kit experience i could try?

Any help would be appreciated guys. It is really frustrating because I didn't get a full camber kit so my camber can still be off in the rear

-Mike

with our setups the lower you are the more camber you will need in order to get your toe in spec. i would simply adjust your camber to -2.4 on both sides so you get even wear.

So there is no way, even with the camber kit, to get both my camber and toe within factor specs? Im sorry but this does not make complete sense to me. Then what is the purpose of buying a camber kit? My toe was fine before in the rear and the camber only improved by about -0.05*. And also, if this is true, how come the front camber kit worked out so well but the rear wont?

I wish SPC could chime in on this.

Did they elongate the whole for the toe bolt? You have to do this to get the toe correct. Douple check with them to make sure they did.

Thank you for responding B2!

Yes they did elongate the toe bolt hole, i watched them do it. However, they did not do as clean a job as in the video, would that make a difference? But they did do it.

i do not have the rear toe bolts(the ones that require drilling a bigger hole on subframe), just spl rear camber kit.
there is no way the alignment shop could get both toe and camber in spec in the rear. ended up with 0 toe and -2 camber in the rear. max camber should be -1.76 in the rear to remain within factory specs. I will just keep flipping the tires (left to right) every oil change.

Something's amiss. I have everything installed correctly and camber/toe is sitting at the minimum range of OEM spec. Dropped on coils equivalent to Eibach's.

Make sure they elongated the toe bolt hole. I've read of at least one instance of a shop elongating the wrong hole.

No idea whats going on, the elongated holes are definitely the right ones. The car just wont adjust camber correctly without throwing the toe off .... Anybody else have any ideas?

I have to make some time from school to call SPC and see if they can help troubleshoot me regarding this.

not sure why your shop is struggling with the alignment.

once you adjust the control arms and get alignment within spec, you tighten the nuts and that adjustment isn't going anywhere. afterwards, adjust toe via toe bolt. that's it...
