Well, I'm looking, but coming up empty.

The two braces (AWD and Vert) appear to serve the exact same purpose at the same connection points, so I don't know how you came to a conclusion one is stronger than the other. If anything, I'd think the Vert is more susceptible to chassis twist, so the Vert's bracing is more solid. But I'm no engineer. Odds are, the different designs have nothing to do with functionality, and everything to do with manufacturing or parts supplies. But I don't know that either.

Jpowersjr2 asked (well I thought that they asked) about the braces (not the dampers).

As for the dampers, yes, I got both the front and rear 370Z NISMO Dampers. I've installed the front (had to trim some material away from a plastic panel that's between the grille and passenger headlight). The rear can't be installed yet. I still need to get from a wrecked 370Z the center mounting bracket or make one (I took measurements).

By just having the front damper installed, I do feel like there's an improvement and some elimination of some vibrations through the steering wheel and body.

And yes, I should have looked before I bought the brackets. I had a tight timeline, the weather wasn't cooperating and I was wanting to bead blast them at work before I left for Christmas and New Years. So now I have a pair of uesd, bead blasted & freshly painted brackets that I have no use for.

So if you were to put on your John Deere hat and had to guess why decisions were made...

1. Why is there a three-point chassis brace there?
2. Why are there two different designs?
3. Why doesn't the RWD car have one?

1,2&3: I "believe" that it's the "X" factor. That addition of the front wheel drive can and will exert more forces than the rear wheel drive only cars.

I don't know, but are there any G37x Convertibles? If so, what does the brace(s) look like on it.

No, the Verts were RWD, and you couldn't get Limited Slip, even the 6MT.

After years of not having this brace, and then installing the version from the Convertible, I'd put it in the Don't Bother column. Props for powder-coating, but it just seemed odd, is all. After discovering your AWD sedan already has a 3-point cradle brace, you declared it a much stronger design than the Vert part you purchased in haste. And hey, you might be right. Or you could be wrong, John Deere notwithstanding. Truth is, if I had thought about it as a choice, I would have selected the Sedan version, because Sedan.

This feels like comparing which FSTB is better than another. None of it matters or can be verified, but it makes for good validation on decisions.

I've got my bracket fabricated for the center mounting location for the rear 370Z NISMO Damper.

The photo doesn't do it justice.... The reflections make it look as if it's warped, but it's not. I'm getting it powder coated and will take more photos when I'm doing the install.

Just waiting for the braces (on order) that attachs to the bottom of it that route under the diff and to the frame.

Looks nice! I had been holding off on installing my rear NISMO brace for the same reason, just haven't had the time in 2 years, lol. Would you consider making and selling another?

I was checking the fit up and realized that I missed adding a few small holes to accommodate a wiring harness. I also need to narrow it up a little bit to clear a weld.

Oh well, this was revision 0, now to move on to revision 1.

It might be a few weeks before I can get the revised bracket made.

Revision 1 in in the works!

Some basic dimensions for the Center Offset Bracket:
-Hole to Hole on the frame for the center two mounting bolts: G37/Q60 - 9.25" 370Z - 2.5"
-Offset for Center Mounting Point(distance between where the G37/Q60 stock cross brace mounts vs. where the 370Z cross brace mounts) - 5.5" in Height
-Thickness of 2" Max
-Length:
At G37/Q60 is a Minimum of 11"
At the center of the 370Z cross brace 2" Max (bracket sets into a recessed area of the 370Z cross bracket and is what I didn't account for in Revision 0)

Instead of sourcing the frame component like the OP in post #2, I'm fabricating one.
Instead of fabricating the Cross Brace/Damper components (like post #3), I purchased the NISMO components.

Hopefully that will answer your question, but if not, you'll just have to wait for the photos.
