Help Information on Eibach Pro Kit
Information on Eibach Pro Kit
Alright, been trolling the forums for a couple of days now trying to figure out how camber/suspension/wheels/spacers all tie together but I'm having a hard time doing so. I plan on getting the Eibach Pro-Kit and I'm just wondering if there is anything else I need/should upgrade or change on my car in order to ensure I don't screw anything up. Should I get a camber kit? Rear or front or both? New suspension or keep the stock suspension with the Eibach kit?
Car is completely stock atm except:
Tire specs:
R: 275/30/20
F: 245/35/20
Rim specs:
R: 20x10
F: 20x9
This is the kit I'm looking at:

Any and all help is seriously appreciated by this newbie

Eibach Springs
Yeah I just installed that set on my G37S coupe and with the Hotchkiss sway bars, it's a great setup.
I did a day at the track and found the car handled like a champ. No tire issues, (stock 19") and it went where you pointed it. Reduced brake dive dramatically, almost no body lean, and the ride feels better than stock in that it's not harsh at all. Great mod. My tire temps showed that I had no alignment issues to deal with and so far everything is going great. Add the sway bars next and then drive it before you do anything else to it. Go with either Hotchkiss or Eibach's bar setup. You can order a complete Eibach kit with sway bars and save even more money that way. Sway bars and rear spring installation is a snap. You may need help with the front springs since you have to compress them real hard to get them on the front shocks. I had the dealer change the springs for around $60. I was able to do all the labor without much effort otherwise. Then add any other options if you then feel you need them. Good luck and have fun.

Great information! Thank you for the write up. So you're running stock except for the sway bars and the kit then? Are you planning on modding anything else in terms of suspension? (Camber kits etc..)

Edit: Any and all suggestions/information is appreciated guys. Can't give me too much info right now.

I've only added the GT Spec front strut brace and it does change the handling. I'm not sure I like it but it seems to make the car turn in even faster than without the strut brace. Not bad but you can easily over-steer the car into corners because the front end reacts more quickly. I'm not talking about the rear end coming around here. It's hard to explain but the front and rear seem to be more connected now. Don't really know why that should be the case.
Only other mod I've done are to the brakes with the stainless/teflon lines from BF Goodridge and eventually some Hawk pads when the OEM wear down. I don't plan any other mods until the shocks finally start to give up. I'll deal with that when the time comes. This car is lightly tracked but is still the family's main set of transport.

which eibach kit did you use? how does it feel compare to the stock springs? i don't really like the stock springs on the S model.. makes my interior rattles sometimes when I'm on a bumpy road...

You don't really need to change anything else if you go with the Eibach Pro Kit. You could use a camber kit if you want zero camber. As far as spacers, it depends on your wheels' offsets.
I suggest to do get an alignment after your Eibach's settle.
I've had my Eibach PK's for almost 4 years now without a camber kit and my tires lasted around 25K miles.
