Hey, Buckeye, do you have more pics of your car with those Tanabe coilovers and OEM wheels? I'm also looking to lower mine with an OEM wheel setup. Also, do you have wheel spacers in that pic above? Thanks.

Im interested in this too, as I'm debating between tanabe, BC, and stance coilovers and what size spacers to go with on stock IPL wheels..

Almost all the IPL owners on here have their rides dropped. I am one of the few that won't do it. After a year and 8 months I still love the stock feel of the IPL.

I said the same thing when I got my IPL. I figured I wouldn't have to modify it because it already has a factory-upgraded suspension. It's more of an aesthetics thing though. The stock wheel gap really could be better. That's why I'm interested in the Tanabe solution. Owners have compared the ride quality to stock. The KW's and Teins look nice, but they might be overkill for a DD car.

I'm in the same boat..goin through all these threads, debating on which coils..for my DD purposes, anything more than tanabe/bc/stance coils seem like too much jus for aesthetic purposes..either way, that wheel gap has to go..lol..I wonder since tanabes don't have the adjustable dampening option, how much better/worse/same it is compared to the stock set up, and if I'd regret not having that option, compared to the stance/bc options...anyone feel free to chime in..I've searched the forum but can't make a decision...

i dropped my IPL a bit on KW3s mostly for aesthetics. a bit overkill? probably, but i must say i have no regrets on ride quality (but i can't directly compare with any other suspension mods other than the IPL suspension itself). short of gradually going through all the suspension setups (a fair number make the switch from springs to coil overs) or driving a lot of other people's cars, i doubt a lot of people have the experience to make direct comparisons between them - other than maybe the tuner shops themselves. or you could try to do the "maths" with spring rates, etc... just my 2 cents.

Drop looks good Robby! Spacers would definitely complete that look, but just killin that wheel gap makes it look so much better..
