Exclamation I am very confused

I have a Black 2009 G37X Cope that I bought 4 weeks ago, at first I decided to go ahead and get 20’ rims and tiers for the car after doing some research in the here I came out with the sizes as fallow: 20x9F, 20x10R, and 245/35/20F, 275/30/20R. <O</O
Then I found out that the AWD cannot be Staggered so I started looking at 20x9, 245/35/20 all around. After doing some more research I found out that you guy saying that if I don’t drop the car the car is going to look silly. <O></O>
So I started to see what I need to drop the car first and I found out that I can buy coilers that lower the car 1.5’ to 1’ and I found out lots of people here like EIBACH PRO-KIT LOWERING SPORT SPRINGS SET but when I look in to them I found out that they don’t work for G37X. <O></O>
<O> </O>
So what I getting is I cannot lower the car cannot staggered the car and if I get 20’ rims the car is going to look silly. <O></O>
<O> </O>
Please tell me I am wrong and if I am tell me what I should do?<O></O>
<O> </O>
?1.Drop the car<O></O>
?2.get spacers for wheels ( don’t know if they are necessary )<O></O>
?3.buy rims and tiers<O></O>

OK... the staggered issue is an argument that still does not have a clear answer. Some people say you can while other say you cannot.

You are most likely going to want to drop the car regardless to get rid of wheel gap. Everyone on the forum will agree.

Eibach has a kit for the X coupe that I currently run and love it. I plan on putting 20X9's on very soon and it should look great.

Hope this helps.

Stick with a 19" square set-up. Get coilovers and lower the car how you like. Spacers according to how flush you wanna be or buy rims with the appropriate off-set.

You can probably get the rims you want and worry about the drop later.

Usually with Eibach pro-kits, no camber kits are needed (but depends on the car to be honest).....and a general rule of thumb is also going aftermarket shocks, that are made for the lower spring height, due to the OEM shock will degrade a lot faster.

Our car CAN run a staggered setup. It's been done several times around these forums. With regards to the drop/rim dilemma, I'd go for the drop first. The only thing I see as an added expense is the need for a camber kit to get the alignment back into spec. I want to get coilovers, but there aren't many options to choose from.

you can run staggered wheels as long as the rolling diameter of the front and rear tires is within a few percent (some say 5%)

I think i am going to get the drop i just talked to the local Good Year auto shop and they said $100 to $150 they will get it on. as far as shocks go I think I am going with ones that are on it, if its going to work and change them when they go bad.

I did look around to find a camber kit for G37X didn't have luck do i need rear and front or just rear?

so what your saying, this 245/35/20F, 275/30/20R is too much.

Here are all the parts you would need/want to do a drop. I would recommend getting the front camber arms at least as the ones that come from the factory are not adjustable at all. The rear lateral arms do have some room for adjustment if I recall, just not nearly as much as the SPC models. Also, there are some good coupon codes (10% off I think is what I used) out there for AutoAnything if you do some googling.

I think that will be within spec, but I'm not sure. Better wait for somebody else who runs that setup to actually confirm it's okay. I run the same fronts, but 285/30R20 and that puts the fronts and rears at the exact same rolling diameter.

i don't think you've been on this forum long enough, there is plenty of information regarding this... not trying to be an A-Hole

There are 4 dropping options that i know of, for the X Coupe, BC Coilover, D2 Coilover, or Eibach Pro Springs, and HR also makes spring for the x coupe, but i have yet to see it on anyone's car.

You can also run staggered wheels, as long as the rolling diameter is the same.

I will be running:
Front: 20x8.5 +25 w/ 245/35 tires
Rear: 20x10 +25 w/ 285/30 tires
I'm dropped on Eibach Pro Kit, and have SPC Front & Rear Kit installed

I dont have my wheels installed yet, just installed my springs and camber kit installed yesterday.

The ride on these springs are awesome btw, people complain about bumpy ride, but in all honesty, these are so close to stock ride comfort, just lower.

Hope this helps
