Help safe to run shank lugs on 350z wheels?

safe to run shank lugs on 350z wheels?
i know the regular lug nuts for the 350z wheel is the acorn style but i was wondering if it was alright to run the shank lugs on them or if i should put the acorn lugs on them instead.
