Advice on coilovers

Looking at doing some upgrades to the suspension to my G37S coupe. First off are coilovers that much better over the eibach Pro spring kit and if so. Wanted to see what coilovers everyone else that has done this is using and what their recommendation is on type and brand of coilover. Not looking to totaly slam the car to the ground but give it a nice drop and still providing decent ride qualitiy. Kinda torn if I should go with Eibach Pro kit springs or just wait to afford coilovers.

If your only planning to lower it along the same lines as the eibach drop I am not sure I would get coilovers....you have a coupe correct?

If you're looking for eibach height and not really planning on tracking your car then don't waste your money on coilovers

if you want something cheap you can get some ksport coils, but I wouls suggest that you start looking upwards of BC racing coils maybe even stance coils. at first I was sure I was going to get BC coils but I am reconsidering since alot of people have them already

Don't cheap out on suspension. I had tanabe and eibach springs and frankly they were a waste. I'm now running the Tein SSP with edfc (electronic damping control) and the difference is like night and day. Not sure what you're budget is but I'd recommend Tein product.

Hmmm...so if your planning ONLY to lower your car 1.2 front and 0.8 rear you think coils would be well worth the extra $1000+? Not arguing by any means, just wondering the reason. I would think the extra 1000 could be spent on other suspension parts.

I initially ONLY wanted to lower about that much and that's why I bought the springs. 1 year later after I actually started really driving the car, I realized the shortcoming of springs. That plus feeling the need for a better stance. The need for better performance is also the reason why I just bought sways and a strut bar. For me it is well worth it.

Thanks for the advice so far, couple other questions what specific setup are you running from Tein? I also noticed that some of the setups such as Tein Super Street Damper has an additional feature of (Upper Camber adjustment on front for strut type vehicles) so is it still required to aquire a front camber kit then?

coils bro... no doubt... im running Tein Flex... absolutely great product... the geometry of our front suspension does not go hand in hand with th camber adjustments that the plate would normally allow in other vehicles... therefore, none of the coils would come with plates that allow for camber adjustment... u have to purchase a camber kit aside if u want to adjust camber in the front...

Right, I understand if your going to adjust height but I am saying "ONLY" if you want to lower car to the Eibach height settings such as 1.2 F and 0.8 R, say on a daily driver, non track use.

I am not arguing by any means, I would like to be educated as to why. Not everyone decides to adjust their height, only some. I think it will help the OP out as well. I only got my coils for damping adjustment, I am riding same exact height as my old H&R's.
