OEM R-Spec Brake Pads

Any reviews/impressions? My next G is going to have the Akebono Brakes vs. my current Xs with standard brakes.

Infiniti sells them as being better for repeated high speed braking (so I guess less fade under abuse) but do they shorten stopping distances too?

I don't see how the R-Spec could shorten the stopping distance since the standard pads can activate the antilock braking system.

Also, if they don't recommend using Dot4 brake fluid with the R-Spec pads I don't see how they can help. I've boiled the Dot3 using CarboTech XP8's after 20min of track time. (ATE Dot4 didn't arrive in time for a flush.)

Has anybody seen this R-Spec pads out of the box?

I am guessing they are Akebono, maybe their ASP performance formulation.
