Hi Everyone,

I just bought my 2008 G37s and I had the dealer repair 3 of the wheels since they had curb rash damage (scrapes, scuffs). Unfortunately, it looks like they repainted the wheels with the wrong color since they appear darker then the stock wheel (photos attached and the passenger side rear wheel is the stock color). I'm going to have another local wheel shop repaint the other 3 and was wondering what the normal cost would be for each wheel. The dealer that did these wheels is about 4 hours away, so its probably not worth driving all the way back there to have them redo them.

You can get all four powdercoats for around $400.

 

Just get the dealer to match the last wheel. Personally, I think the refinished color is better. It's a little darker than stock.

 

Get aftermarket rims, problem solved!

I would like to trade my wheels for the hypersilver ones. Anyone in the Tampa Bay area that wants to swap? I had the last wheel painted to match all the others.

 

powdercoating all four is the best. ive had one wheel repainted and its definitely off in color. as soon as it starts getting cooler, the wheels are coming off and going to the powdercoater...

 

bat6wc - Interesting. There is a local shop who said they can match the hypersilver perfectly by just painting the wheels. The dealer said there is no way you can get that "look" without powdercoating them. Do you have a photo you can upload showing the difference in your wheels?

 

Ill try and get a pic soon. its hard to match 1 wheel to 3 others. especially if the wheels have some age on them. paint will also chip a lot more easily than powdercoating.
