Hawk HPS Brake Pads - Rotor Selection.
Hey Guys,
Just got my HAWK HPS Brake pads in (front and rear) and I was wondering if I should resurface my rotors and install pads or get new rotors all together.
Also as far as rotors what do you recommend? I was thinking about getting the Stoptech Powerslot, but from the threads ive read the slotted rotors are more for wet performance and drilled is more toward dry?

For daily driving, slots or holes will perform the same. I'm personally a fan of blanks.
Slotted help performance. They help the gas that builds up between the pad and the rotor escape and cool the brakes as well, but even that is nearly negligible.
If slotted/drilled rotors really helped a cars braking, Formula 1 cars would be equipped as such, and not with good old solid rotors.

I'd stay away from a drilled rotor for every day use. The holes can create cracks as it's the weakest part of the piece. Slotted go a lot longer and work just as good but hold up better.
