I installed my S-techs today and I have to say I am disappointed with the look... I wanted the car to sit level but its much lower in the back it seems to me.... the back wheels also seem to be bowed in ... any advice?

 

that's called camber. when you get an alignment they will fix that to the extent possible

 

You have negative camber now, that's just the way it is till you get an alignment. They will settle after driving around for a while. Don't think they suck yet!

 

If you are running S-Techs I would highly recommend camber kits front and rear but if you are on a budget at least get rears. Most people complain about the ride with S-Techs. If you don't mind the ride then with camber kits and a proper alignment you will love them.

 

The camber can be fixed I'm cool with that... But what I'm worried about is the back being lower than the front!? .... What to do about that? What kind of spacers do most use?

 

The fronts should settle a little more after 2-4 weeks or so, with the extra weight up front. Total settling will depend on frequency and style of driving. After the springs finish settling...it'll even out. The gaps in the wheel well won't be perfect, but it'll be rather close. You can always get coilovers(Somewhere down the road) if it bothers you that much.

 

Can I buy coilovers for just back? What kind camber kit do I need ? I don't even know what that is.... ?

 

just go buy coilovers all around then..

That's a good question. You could obviously, but I'm not sure what impact on your ride would be. Different ride quality between springs and coils could make the driving experience fugly.

Definitely let the ride height settle and give it some time. SPC rear camber kit will require some permanent mods to your car, so if you are a lease you may want to avoid. Camber kit increases the amount of adjustment in the vertical angle of the wheels. Stock camber is minimal so after market kits are used when lowered. Although not all spring kits require more adjustment than stock allows for.

Let the springs settle. Get an alignment. And see how it looks and feels after that.

 

It'll end up looking good man! Don't panic just be patient. Follow the advice given and get a camber kit then an alignment when everything settles. Once your camber is corrected, your rear will raise slightly. If you are running stock wheels then get some spacers to prevent the tucked appearance. 20mm all around is a good look. I purchased the Eibach System 4 spacers which are listed for the 350Z, but work perfect in my opinion. I got 2 sets for under $200 shipped (PM for more info) They are easy to install also with no studs to replace. Other brands such as H&R and Ichiba are good too.

 

Aren't s techs known for sitting a little lower in the rear..regardless of what u do? That's how my buddies sits, who has spc f and r and aftermarket 19's no spacers though....?????

Yes, I've seen Gs on Stechs that look like it has 3 fat chicks in the back seats.... no spacers can fix that.

Should've gotten Eibachs man.... or coilovers.

I second the question..... can we get just coilovers for the rears?

 

im pretty sure they only come in a set...so you would have to buy all 4
