wheel offset help on 2010 G37S sedan

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to get some after market rims, but I just feel so uneasy about the fitment. With that said, I'm here asking for some of the experts to help. I'm know this topic has been covered many, many times. Many of the post I have read through already. However, after the research I believe it's still safer for me to ask through a post to confirm. I'm no expert at rims and it's a big ticket purchase item so I want to be sure. Any help would be much, much appreciated. Below are the information of the rims:

Fronts - 20" x 9 (32mm offset) with 245/35 tires
Rears - 20" x 10 (32mm offset) with 275/30 tires

From my research, the 32mm offset should work out just fine. Would I have to worry about running or neg chamber at all? Or is stock set up with these rims perfectly fine? Any help is appreciated.

is this on a stock suspension?

20x9 32mm fronts will work fine...
20x10 rears you want to go with maybe a 40mm offset if you don't want it sticking out of the fenders in the rear

Thanks for the reply da mayor. Yes it's stock suspension on the S version of G37. I've seen some people recommend me lowering the car too. Anything else I should be considerate of? Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

That rear offset, without lowering will stick out a good bit past the fender. A mild drop, like Eibach will put that rear 10" +32 sit absolutely perfectly flush with the fender. You could run about a +20 or so on that front wheel as well with a 10 mm spacer or so. But without lowering the car...those offsets are going to stick out past the fenders and may look a little funny.

Thanks EnviedG, I appreciate the information. At this point it looks like dropping is necessary - which isn't a bad thing. May hurt a bit on the wallet, but sounds like everything will turn out pretty good.

I picked up a barely used set of eibach springs for 150 to my door. I had a friend install the springs for me so i saved a **** load for install. But its not too bad on the pockets.

It shouldn't be too bad. Maybe 400 with install included is my guess. Still - if it's necessary to get the rims to line up well, then I will have to do it.

By the way, how do you like your ride with the Eibach's? I'm guessing you have the Pro Kit?

Thanks for your help again EnviedG.

Yes, i have the prokit. I think the ride is great, even for a lowered vehicle with 20's. Anybody that rides in the car comments on how well the car still rides, all things considered.

Not only is offset a concern for you but if you have the big brakes caliper clearance will also be an issue. Which wheels are you considering?

I have the standard brake calipers that came on the 2010 G37. I'm considering the iForged Essens - a used set that's being sold on here. Would you be able to help and let me know whether the spokes on the rims can clear the calipers? Thanks.

On standard calipers you will be fine, but the rear offset will cause the wheels to stick out past the fender. You will need approx a 40offset for a nice fit.

I'm on Eibach prokit with those iIforged wheels and they sit flush but I have a coupe. It also clears my big sport's brake calipers.
