Brake pedal noise

Couldn't find if anybody else had found or fixed this issue I'm having. My brake pedal makes a creaking/popping sound every once in a while. It's somewhere on the brake pedal assembly - as if something isn't tight. I had the dealership look at it and they said they didn't find anything wrong - but since then it seems to happen more often.

Cheers,

I've only experienced a squealing when in reverse with rear breaks, seems to be very common on the S coupes! Are you sure it's from the pedal and not the actual breaks??

hey i noticed this in my car also recently. it's kinda like that sound when you apply the emergency brakes on. its tends to make the crack/popping sounds when i apply the brakes hard. i'll take it in to have it looked at on my next oil change. any updates on yours?

don't worry guys. It is just your brake pedal self adjusting height. For to compensate wear on brake pads. Otherwise as you run your pads shorter. Your pedal height will get deeper and deeper. Do following and you will find the noise gone.

1. with your engine turned off depress pedal 5 times with 2-5 seconds interval.

2. fully depress brake pedal, turn on the ignition with brake pedal fully depressed. Wait 5 seconds and let the brake pedal go. With your ignition still on wait 1 minute so your vacuum line can adjust to atmospheric pressure.

3. Turn on the ignition depress brake pedal to the floor. While brake pedal still depressed, turn off ignition. Make sure your brake pedal does not go any further down after turning your ignition off.

I know Nissan makes weird cars

The END
