How common do you run into potholes with your G and have you ever taken it to a dealer to get the shocks/springs replaced or is that not on warranty? I hit a couple but not sure what I should do about it. Let me know your experience with these potholes, thanks.

 

I very rarely run into potholes with the G. To do so is unwise and can damage the car as well as the wheels.

How often do people look at me like I'm DUI? Very often b/c I avoid potholes like the plague, sometimes causing me to swerve from one side of the lane to the extreme other

 

I have to stear to avoid them or I'd F up the entire under body of my car since I'm so low.

 

Yeah being low is tough sometimes. Aviod potholes at all cost unless you live in NY where every major road is riddled with them. Then you really have no choice.

 

Yea I haven't lowered my car yet, but I'm still worried about my springs/suspension.

 

I memorize where most potholes are with my routes so I can avoid them.

When I'm on unfamiliar roads, I take extra precautions like driving a little slower, keep a farther distance from the car in front etc....

Sometimes you just can't avoid them and that's when we're SOL!

 

really now ..your worried pot holes damaged your shocks?? their designed for abuse ...

obvious things to check if the pot hole was big enough ..bubble in the tire or alignment is now off.

 

I live in jersey and there are potholes everywhere. I have bent every single 19 sport wheel, and had one so bad I had to buy a new one, and another that can't be fixed perfectly so I gives me a shaky ride over 70mph. I think that one is doomed also. The potholes are killing me here.

 

Man, me too! I have had the rear wheels straightened at USA wheels and I still need the front drivers side. I have been driving with an ever so slight vibration still. Unfortunately don't know if it's just that front left that is supposedly slightly out of round or if it's the damn Nissan rotors that are building up or warping. Considering I have 80k on it who the hell knows and good thing my stereo covers it up!

 

yea dude im sure the wheels is still kinda bent. theres nothing that frustrates me more than a shaky ride since its such a nice car.

 

I'm in Jersey still with the 19 sport oem wheels, its potholes no matter where you go. I wanted 20, but I think im just going to stick with the 19". do the 245/275 tire size.

 

No they're not, it's a sports car with a stiff suspension not an off-roader. And even if they did take the beating your wheels will give up eventually

 

I don't understand how people drive into potholes. I'm very low on my kw v3s and never hit potholes. More than anything I bottom out with sudden elevation changes.
