Alignment questions

Hi, i recently lowered my 09 sedan, i went to do alignment, the shop said the camber cannot align to factory spec since i lowered the car, my front tire camber is -1.8 while the default range is -1.2 to 0.3. Shop suggested me to install camber caster kit. My question is, is it neccasary to install after camber kit? If i dont do it, will the inner tire wear off very fast? Does every one install after market camber after lower?? Please give me some idea, i'm kind of dummy to alignment. Thanks in advance!!!

-1.8 isnt terrible, the tire wear will be there but minimal and dependant on how you drive the car. The shop was able to get the rear in spec? Once i dropped my car I had to get the rear camber/toe kits for the rear, the front i just reset the toe angle to spec. (camber was about -1.8 if I recall).I have put 4-5 thousand miles on the new fronts after the drop and they are wearing almost perfectly even.

Front camber isn't adjustable unless you get a front camber kit. Your front camber isn't that badly out of spec. If you can get the front toe angle in spec (you should be able to) you shouldn't wear quickly through tires. Caster isn't adjustable.

the rear camber is -2.0 while range is within -1.8 to -0.8, also the toe for front and back aligned within spec, in this case I shouln't warry too much about it huh?

Nope. You'll be OK. There is some tradeoff with having a lowered car, you r camber will be difficult or impossible to get back in spec because the car wasn't designed by the manufacturer to be that low. You shouldn't expect it to be perfect, even with a kit.

What kit did you use to lower the car?
