I have bin researching camber kits for my g37 since I just ordered tanabe coilovers. in my search I found that from what I can see every one one this forum is using the camber kit 72260 which is the rear camber arm and a cam bolt for the toe. why is no one just using the 72265 kit which is a cam bolt for the camber and toe? or is it just that no one knows about this kit? the spc web site shoes that the much more expensive kit 72260 will. correct camber 4 deg and 3 deg toe. the much much cheaper kit 72265 will correct for 3deg camber and 3 deg toe. is one deg of camber worth more than $150. how much camber correction have the slamed g's out their needed. has any one shown that they need a full 4 deg of camber correction. is it just that vendors want you to buy the high price kit so they can make more money? $200 vs $50 to loose and extra deg of rear camber.

well I ordered the camber and toe kit today. will be putting on the tanabes this weekend. also just got my wheels.

the alignment kit 72260 adjusts both arm and toe. In this kit, the arm is adjustable to 4deg and the toe is adjustable to 3deg.

in alignment kit 72265 you only get the toe adjustment and not arm.

i can only assume you cant correct camber with just the toe adjustment itself.

72265 kit is 2 cam bolts. adjusts camber an toe. look at the spc web site for a proper description of the kit.

I'm considering installing new springs and have been researching camber kits..

I believe SPC 72265 should be suitable for our cars. I don't think you'll need camber arm adjustment for the extra 1 degree.

Anyone else have any input on this?

SPC 72265 - Camber Kit (Camber ±3.00 degree Toe ±3.00 degree)
SPC 72260 - Extreme Rear Camber Kit (Camber ±4.00 degree Toe ±3.00 degree)

Anyone know how much you can play with the OEM stock +-Toe & +-Camber settings?
Stock Bolts are said to provide +/- 1.5/2.0 degrees...

Unless you're slammed I don't think you'll need the extreme kit...?


If you drop your car 2" you should expect your camber to change by -2.12 degrees.
Drop 3 inches - Camber changes -3.86 degrees.


I don't believe any springs have a greater drop than 2". Which means you should only be buying the camber arms if you are running coilovers. That is only if you're drop is greater than 2"....

I don't know this for a fact, but I believe the info on their website to be incorrect. The eccentric toe bolts by themselves don't correct camber at all.

 

Just spoke to spc and I was right. Both kits will adjust your toe and camber. The only difference is the camber arm will adjust 1 degree more than the bolts.

 

I stand corrected. I don't understand how just the toe bolts can correct camber though.

 

If you're dropping your car more than 1.5 inches then its recommended that you buy the camber arm. Anything less you can use the bolt kit. Although I believe the arm is superior and doesn't require you to enlarge holes. Either way you have to enlarge the holes for the toe bolts.

Its toe and camber bolt kit. With the camber arm kit you just get the toe bolts. With the bolts kit you get both camber and toe bolts.
