Tires

What tires are the quietest for road noise and have the best ride?

I'm so tempted to say you should have bought a lexus...

You're compromising a lot if you want a super quiet ride; most people choose the G over its competitors for its performance qualities rather than its luxury...

Well I am looking for a wheel that will provide both. I am not looking for a sound proove ride just a good tire. I can put Dynomat if I need it to be quieter. You know what I mean? Besides I not a big fan of lexus unless it it the ISF.

In that case, I'd recommend you go the dynamat route, as compromising the car's strengths with a less-than-optimal tire probably won't make you happy in the long run.

As for a smooth ride, do you have a sport package on your car?

Yes I do have the sport package. I know that the suspension is tight and I like that because I love to take corners at fast speeds. Just curious if I could get some opinions on tire choice. Thanks for comments

Holy crap, thats a lot of weight

Have you considered getting some 18's? The larger sidewall will give you a smoother ride.

I won't be using both just some on the floor and the firewall. No I will be getting 20". I am not looking for a big change in ride but every little bit counts. I always remember I bought a sports car so I knew it wouldn't be the smoothest ride. If I was looking for a real smooth ride I would have got a sedan. Just looking for little changes.

With 20s, you won't have a whole lot of choice. Seems like Nitto Invos will be a good choice for you.

I remember one time someone volunteered me to deliver a car to a customer, not knowing how far away they lived. It was raining that day.

The reason I remember it, is that when I was on the highway, the car was so quiet that I could hear the wind deflecting off the wipers as they were wiping the rain away... the 2nd gen G is SO much quieter than the 1st =P

I got home at around 3am that day.

Thanks for the help. I am not into the stretch look either. I would like to run a 245 in the front and 285 in the back with H&R drop.
