Vibrating like a ****.

So I got new tires a few weeks ago, and had to take them back a few days later to be rebalanced cause it was shaking on the highway. That fixed the problem, then i went through the process of sending my wheels off to get pc'd so they were reblanced again there. It seemed fine for the first few days driving on the highway and stuff, but then the shaking came back and this time the steering wheel was shaking too. So i took it in today and had it redone for the 3rd time under warranty of the new tires. After i got it done I got on the highway and headed out of town, and guess what. STILL shaking. I didnt have time to take it back in cause i had to get going. But they said this time they did it where the machine buts the wheel under a load like its driving and i should be perfect.

So my question is, is something else wrong, could i have gotten a defective tire? If that was the case though wouldnt the balancing still correct it? I'm starting to believe I have one, or multiple warped rotors. Lately i've noticed when the brakes are cold and i'm idling i here a series of squeeks when rolling slow forward, and this is completly OFF the brakes?

Anyone have any ideas

If they did a Road Force balance and it's still vibrating, this usually means the tire is defective or has flat spots.

It's rare with modern QC processes, but it's possible that you could have a tire that's out of round and unbalanceable. The fact that they were able to balance them before though makes this seem unlikeley. Is it possible that one of your wheels somehow come back from the powder coater slightly warped? A warped rotor is very unlikeley to be the cause of this. You'd get a shudder when you stop, not when you get up to cruising speed.

Yeah warped rotors are most likely when you apply the brakes. The steering starts shaking. you should try another set or borrow... try them on your car see if it's really the tires or maybe something's wrong with your steering/suspension.

I haven't been able to look at it again this week due to being busy with other things, but over the weekend when I was comming back from out of town I started to notice that the shaking got worse mainly when I was on the highway. Overall its most noticable around 65-70mph and when i brake at those speeds you can really feel it. Hopefully I can get a chance to take it in tomorrow and have the wheels tires, brakes and everything checked out to find the problem.

If you have it rolling at highway speeds it's not your brakes - obviously. High speed vibration is almost always a wheel/tire balance issue. Next check alignment issues but I doubt that's it.

OK, so time for a little update. I had the warped rotor TSB done last month and that eliminated the steering wheel vibration during breaking, but there is still something there when just driving on the hw and its not so much the steering wheel but the whole car just has this little shimmer that is hard to notice if your not paying attention. I have also noticed that when rolling really slowly, like just idleing on flat ground with my foot slightly on the brake I can almost feel some pulsating in the car or something. Its even more noticable when backing up. Also on random occasions I can hear a squeak squeak squeak coming from what appears to be the rear when rolling slowly in the parking garage, but its only when the cars been sitting for a while. I just cant figure this out. Could one of my tires just not be perfectly round, are my rear brakes warped too, could it be a suspension issue?????

^I'm pretty sure they are not. I am always extremely careful with curbs and avoiding potholes and what not. Unless the place that redid them didn't get them true from the begining.

I had this problem with my wifes 22's we balanced them like three times, had hub centering rings installed and it still shaked. I took them off and Im selling them now. They were three piece wheels. I think its bc they were bent.
