You got the MXP installed already?? I had H.Techs and i honestly think that the ride height is perfect.

^^ aren't the h-techs and/or S-techs not specific for g37's which would make for a rough ride?

either way I'd go with eibach. Perfect drop and ride is same as stock IMO.

hasnt arrived yet, supposedly at the end of the month but who knows, in the meantime i want to get either springs or a coilover kit so i can have it all installed at once, i was looking at the Tananbe coilovers but it worries me that they cost half the price of most other systems

Well the ride felt pretty stock to me. If anything i would say it hasn't really changed from stock, just went lower. I did have a friend tell me that the car felt "softer". Obviously i would recommend a more better solution like coilovers but for some it just isn't worth it.

The coils give a much more "firm" ride, and you'll definitely notice it.

Why not spend just a little more and get the Tanabe Coils? Every single review I've seen about them, people love them, and I've talked to a few people that sell them and said they really do ride good and are made with great quality. Part of the reason they are so cheap is they don't have dampening adjustment.

I got out of the "lowering srings" crowd a looooooong time ago. The stock shock is meant to be used with ONLY the stock springs. Aftermarket springs wear out your factory shocks at an alarming rate most of the time and give you a less controlled ride over bumpy roads IMO.

They don't have a dampening control, unless you're tracking the car how often would you adjust that anyway. I expect forgoing the need to engineer that allowed them to produce a lower cost coilover with some options not found in more expensive systems as well.

Good point. And because they let you adjust exactly how much or little drop you want so that you can get the maximum drop and still stay within alignment specs if that's what you want, because you don't have to choose between a little too much rear gap (Eibach) or a little too much front gap (Tanabe), because they have a stiffer spring rate than stock and still maintain more comfortable ride than springs alone, and because the shocks included are designed for the stiffer springs and wont degrade faster than normal like your OEM shocks will with stiffer aftermarket springs. I could not be happier with the Tanabe Sustec coils.

Any more questions?

My eyes ran out of breath with the longest run-on sentence I've ever seen you post

OP: Get the Tanabe Coils Or if you must get springs, Eibach is the crowd favorite here
