Who wants Tweels?

Just found this the other day. I'm sure it's a re-post, but I couldn't find anything about it when I searched. They look pretty sweet, so I'd be willing to give them a try!! It sounds like Michelin might actually get to a point where they have these ready for the market in a year or two.

Good idea but look horrible. Once they put a sidewall on them and figure out a way to make the low profile.....then we can talk.

Low profile is an absolute must, but I think it looks alright without a sidewall! If nothing else, they would sure turn some heads.

It'll probably take a few more years of R&D, but I'm sure they can make low-profile versions. But run-flats are already too expensive imo, I'd imagine the same for these, too!

Those are ridiculous. You would never be able to keep those things balanced. Drive through a little mud puddle and suck up some mud/dirt and those things will shake like a go go dancer at a dicso party. What the fuck are they thinking

^ final design would likely be enclosed. this R&D model is meant to show the technology i'd presume.

the major drawback of these is having to worry about "tire roll" on hard turns instead of "body roll". lol

I was interested in these when they were shown off like 3 or 4 years ago. I think its great for never worrying about blowing a tire, and so no need for a spare! Who's going to be the first to get some?
