Blue Dot On Rims

Blue Dot On Rims

Did anyone else's rims come with a blue dot on them? Looks like it was painted on or something. I have it on all four corners but haven't tried to take them off for fear of scratching the rims.

I thought maybe the blue was because my car is Athens Blue but I saw it on a red G37 recently. What is it?

There is an old post about this on the site. Do a search. I think the dots are used for balancing or something. It is completely normal.

My OB coupe had the same...I called the dealer to ask about it...He said it's used to balance the wheels with the tires from the factory...It's normal and apparently comes off after some time...The dealer can have the detail department take them off for your immediately if you dont want to wait...

the blue dot does come off w/ ur finger if u just rub it off.

got them too.. black obs G37S...just take a blowtorch to it and will melt right off.. no just kiddin ;-)

Yep...had these on mine and as someone else stated earlier...they come off using your finger and some patience

finger nail and patience worked for me. Takes a bit of work though. I was about to say f' it and buy new volks. Good thing my my has more patience then i do or I would have been 4k down the hole
