Front Lowered

I am considering dropping the front end only. Has anyone done this yet?

I think someone else mentioned it here but I don't think anyone has done it. A half inch would even things out, a better match for the back.

^^ ha ha! who told you. I would do coilovers b/c the rear if you do big rims and tires only needs a small drop while the front needs a drastic drop. I like the raked look also where the front sits lower than the rear.

/\/\I think you told us all, didn't you write about it here? (I read most threads but only post here & there)
I agree that the front needs more drop than the rear, & I like the raked look too...
Regards,
Ron

I just ordered 20x11 rear and 20x9 front. I already have the H&R springs but I haven't installed them yet. I was going to wait a few weeks for the wheels and just install the front springs, I thought it would look good. You think I should go with coilcovers. I have read many posts on the forum, but I havent come across anything explaining the true advantages of coilcovers over decent springs. What about costs?

wouldn't the variance in spring rate be quite a lot to negatively affect handling?

Yeah the rear doesn't really need much of a a drop unless you are going for a more drastic effect. The front end just needs a like rake. Some of the vendors should work on a kit that lowers the front a little more than than the rear.
1 inch in the front and a half in the back would be about perfect for my taste.

the rear of the car is not lower stock. It just has less wheel gap and shorter suspension travel. But the height is the same.

I came across with G35 springs from Progress Group and it has only 1" drop for both front and rear. This front spring might give you what you want for that 1" drop. The front spring is rated for 425LB and wondering what stock rating is for G37 is.

no spring for the G35 is going to drop the same on the 37. its going to be a larger drop.
